Receiving a Request to Apply for Australian Permanent Residence Is Simpler

For them to be invited to apply for the Australian visa, the potential migrants must have achieved a points threshold. The points are generally awarded for age, English language proficiency, educational qualification and work experience.
In recent times, getting an invitation to apply for Australian permanent residence is more straightforward than before, according to Australia Immigration Professionals. This is because the points required for various professionals to receive an invitation have been reduced.
For instance, secondary school teachers who needed 90 points in April 2022 to get the invitation to apply for a visa only need 65 points now. Also, the threshold for general practitioners has been reduced from 90 points to 65 points.
Number of Invitations for Australian Permanent Residence Application in August
In August 2022, about 13,000 potential skilled migrants got an invitation to apply for an Australian permanent skilled visa. This record is the biggest invitation round since the pandemic.
Australia Immigration Professionals reported that the invitation targeted occupations in crucial areas of demand. Over a quarter of the new invitations led to an application being lodged, mainly in the health sector.

Migrants with some in-demand skills will be entering Australia with ease now. This is because the Australian government is set to cast a wider net overseas. The goal of this move is to fill the national skills shortage in the country.
